This article attempts to outline the contours of a critique of translation that does not focus on the “losses”, the inaccuracies of translations in relation to the original, but rather investigates the co-rrespondence between the originеl text (the so-called original) and the text continued through translation into another language (the translation), the way the translator – as a writing reader, i.e. the only reader who turns his reading into writing – responds to the call of the text.
About a “happy” critic of translation: to put differences in dialogue in order to test their compliance

Мари Врина-Николов е бивш възпитаник на Екол нормал сюперьор, където е завършила класическа филология, професор по български език и литература и по теория на литературния превод в INALCO, Париж, където ръководи магистърска програма по литературен превод, както и секцията по българска филология. Автор е на учебници по български език и на множество публикации в областта на историята на българската литература, историята на превода в България и теорията на литературен превод като “Histoire de la traduction en Europe médiane“ (в съавт., 2019), “Miroir de l’altérité : la traduction“ (2006), “Shakespeare a mal aux dents“ (в съавт., 2017). Състител е и на научни трудове, напр. “Comment penser l’histoire littéraire au XXIe siècle dans l’espace euro-asiatique?“ (2019) и “Générations de la rupture dans les Balkans et en Turquie (XXe siècle)“ (Slavica occitania, n° 52, 2021). Превела е на френски около 50 български писатели (от Иван Вазов до Георги Господинов); посвещава уебсайт на съвременната българска литература на френски (http://litbg.eu).
