PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL REFLECTIONS ON NEDKA KAPRALOVA
The text interweaves personal memories of Assoc. Prof. Nedka Kapralova, PhD, with a presentation of her most significant literary contributions to the field of the Bulgarian National Revival. The paradoxical connections between various themes, figures, and works outlined in her research is traced here to present sketches of the colorful and multifaceted image of the National Revival period, as well as the importance of her numerous translations – some of them foundational for Bulgarian literary studies and culture.

Елка Трайкова е доцент доктор в Института за литература при БАН. Научните ѝ интереси са насочени към изследване на литературните полемики, на българския литературен авангард, на творчеството на П. К. Яворов, 491 Александър Балабанов, Боян Пенев, д-р Кръстьо Кръстев, на в. „Развигор“, сп. „Мисъл“ и на други теми и видни фигури от българската културна история. Автор е на книгите „Българските литературни полемики“ (2001), „Списание „Златорог“ и неговият редактор Владимир Василев“ (2020, съвместно с проф. М. Неделчев) и „Литературноисторически и критически сюжети“ (2021), както и на над 90 студии, статии и рецензии, публикувани в научни сборници и периодични издания у нас и в чужбина. Ръководител е на престижни международни и национални научни проекти. В периода 2012–2020 е директор на Института за литература, а от 2021 г. е научен секретар на направление „Културно-историческо наследство и национална идентичност“ на БАН.
